Objective:
To design an engaging and informative closing card for Illinois State University Career Services’ YouTube videos. The card aims to encourage viewers to connect with Career Services on social media platforms, reinforcing the department’s online presence and making it easy for students to stay updated with career resources and events.

Concept & Inspiration:
The design was inspired by a cohesive and bold approach, using ISU’s red and black color scheme to maintain brand consistency. The closing card’s main purpose is to serve as a simple and effective call-to-action, directing viewers to Career Services’ social media handles, which are prominently displayed for easy recognition.

Design Elements:

  • Color Palette: Predominantly red and black, aligning with ISU’s branding for a professional yet eye-catching look.

  • Typography: Bold and modern fonts to clearly convey the message "Join us on Social Media," ensuring the text is easy to read even on mobile screens.

  • Imagery & Icons: Social media platform icons (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) alongside the Career Services’ handle (@Redbird_Career) for quick identification and accessibility.

  • Layout: A structured layout that organizes the social media icons and handles to guide viewers’ eyes, providing an easy exit point from the video to Career Services’ social channels.

Execution:
The closing card uses a balanced design with “Join us on Social Media” as the main message, creating a strong call-to-action for students. The use of large, recognizable social media icons next to the corresponding handles makes it easy for viewers to follow or search for Career Services on different platforms. The card also includes a subtle acknowledgment for music sources, adding a professional touch by crediting the audio used.

Conclusion:
This YouTube closing card effectively serves as a branded outro, reinforcing Career Services’ social media presence and encouraging viewers to engage beyond the video.
